Don has the skills, based on 35 years of IT experience, to direct the analysis of business processes and determine where changes are needed to shore up issues and streamline the process for both elections and records management – two key responsibilities of the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office.

Ensure Federal and State election requirements are adhered to

As a certified Enterprise Architect, Don's knowledge and experience in designing solutions will help ensure all Federal and State election requirements will be implemented and enforced.

Implement authentic and complete chain of custody as well as making Election data published for public access

Utilizing his Enterprise Architect skills, Don will improve the current procedures so that voters may see and monitor EVERY election step which includes publicly releasing election-related data (such as system log files, cast vote records, chain of custody, etc).
Clean Voter Rolls
Verify and confirm root cause of voter roll changes

With a degree in Quality Management and expertise in records management strategies, Don will implement a methodology to proactively inform the public of changes to their voter registration.
Community Outreach
Establish public focus groups and foster public involvement

As a leader in community-based organizations, along with his extensive communication skills, Don will effectively assist voters with special requirements, create voter outreach initiatives and keep the public informed of election law changes and updates.
